Recently, BOMCO galvanized steel wire and other products in Mozambique's capital Maputo bridge project successfully used, praised by Mozambique.

On Nov 10, 2018, Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, marked its 131st anniversary with the opening of the Maputo Bridge and Connecting line. The local government held a grand celebration to mark the opening of the Maputo Bridge and link project. The news of the bridge's opening was reported by the main Mozambican media as well as our country's Xinhua net and the official website of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

On the same day, Mozambican President Nyusi, his wife, Maputo Mayor Simungo and other government officials, as well as Chinese Ambassador to Mozambique Su Jian and other diplomatic envoys attended the ceremony. More than 3,000 people, including representatives of Chinese-funded institutions and local people, attended the ceremony.

The Maputo Bridge and Link project will connect the South African border crossing from Maputo city to the tourist destination of the Golden Corner. It will include a cross-bay suspension bridge and several trunk roads. The Maputo Bridge, which spans Maputo Bay, is the longest suspension bridge in Africa with a length of more than 3 kilometers and a main span of 680 meters. The bridge will greatly facilitate traffic across Maputo Bay and become an important part of Mozambique's North-South traffic trunk road connecting South Africa.

Among them, 105.018 tons of 4.0mm galvanized winding steel wire is used for the main cable of the north wiring project of the bridge, and 36 pieces of sling gear are used for the walkway railing assembly and handrail rope assembly for the main cable maintenance, which are provided by a company in Chongqing purchasing products from Xianyang Gem Company.

The bridge used galvanized winding steel wire and maintenance railing rope, handrail rope components, is the galvanized branch of Xianyang Gem Company in July 2016 and a company in Chongqing signed a supply contract, the steel wire in March 2018 delivery, railing rope, handrail rope components delivered in May, and a company in Chongqing after the inspection of the delivery of Maputo Mozambique project department.

The successful use of products of BOMCO in non-key projects assisted by the state not only marks the excellent quality of the company's bridge products such as winding steel wire for bridge cables and slings, but also contributes to the strength of Xianyang Gem people for the infrastructure construction of Mozambique, and also adds an impressive contribution to the market development of galvanized steel wire and rigging products for bridge of Xianyang BOMCO.
